Default A True Cross Country

This is a write-up of my first true cross-country (Pacific to Atlantic and back) trip in my RV-10. This included a visit to Oshkosh.

Since the write-up is quite long, I split it into four parts. Here they are:

A True Cross Country, part 1 (California to Wisconsin)
EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2016
A True Cross Country, Part 2 (Wisconsin to Georgia)
A True Cross Country, part 3 (Georgia to California)

Feedback welcome

Fuel Burned: 360.4 gallons, 1364 liters

Total Flight Distance: 5615.52 nautical miles, 10,400 kilometers

Fuel Efficiency: 17.93 mpg, 13.12 liters/100 km

Would I do it again? Yes, in an instant.

When I saw your picture of a closed copper mine I thought I toured it. But no it was a different one. The same state though.

Nice write up. I remember walking by your 10 in HBC as my wife and I wandered. I particularly like you weather decision making. We had the same stuff coming from the east to contend with.
I arrived at Oshkosh just a little later in the day and spent an hour working my way through the arrival. It is amazing to me how many pilots can't get 90 knots, 1800 feet and over the tracks with spacing right! It was the worst arrival traffic tie up in 25 years of flying in.
