Does Experimental need an FSM on IFR GPS
Forgive me if this has been asked and discussed before. I did use the search feature and found nothing.
I recently installed a Garmin GNS 480 and was wondering if I need to get a flight service manual to make it and the plane IFR compliant. I seem to recall needing an FSM in the certified world but was unsure if that applied to experimental cat...
My guess is that the FSM is not required in the experimental cat.., but was looking to find out from others and perhaps get a ref in case I am challenged on it.
Thanks...looking to finally finish my ifr rating soon.

Hi Ed, my POH may be unapproved... but it resides in the side pocket. I even actually read it sometimes !
