Trying out different camera locations. This was on the underside of the horizontal stab. The stick-on GoPro mounts are plenty strong!

Cool vid! I got my pvt license there at El Toro in the 80s I remember putting in the 152 landing 34L and F18 in the pattern with me landing 34R. Miss those days!

I'm glad I brought back some memories. Too cool to land alongside a fighter!! My commute to work on Barranca put me just under the approach, so seeing the the F-18s low and slow was a welcome way to break up the drive.

And the free airshow there...simply awesome. More than a million attendance over three days. I miss that tremendously!

Heard a lot of (caution wake turbulence, clear to land-takeoff) also, while working on the IFR ticket got to do quit a lot PAR approaches. Back then at the MCAS aero club, the 152 rental was 28/Hr WET!
