Default Garmin G3X crashes after NavData updated to 1607

Since upgrading to NavData cycle 1607, my G3X now crashes when I try to enter a Direct To waypoint. The crash freezes the unit and causes it to reboot. Doesn't matter which waypoint I try to enter... it always crashes, and always in the same spot. You can see this happening in the following video:

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I've also reported to Garmin.

Hello Joe,

If you don't mind, please email G3Xpert@garmin.com so we can work with you on this.

We also notice in your video that you are using V8.20 software! That is very old since V10.60 is current.

Thanks,
Steve

Update: This issue has been resolved in the online version of issue 1607 of the U.S. VFR Navigation database. You will know when you are using the updated version of this database when your startup page and Database Information page identifies this navigation database as "US VFR-REV2 Navigation 1607".

Default

Had the same problem with my 696, after updating databases in the middle of the week. Customer service said they were aware of a 1607 problem, it had been corrected, and to reload. Reloading just 1607 did not fix the problem, but reformatting the SD card and reloading 1607, terrain, obstacles, and Safetaxi, followed by a red border reboot, fixed it.
