Default FL-760 radio

The manual on page 6 says the power should be connected to a 2A max circuit. On page 7 it says the radio uses a max of 3A.

Does this make sense?

No, unless the 3 amps is for a very short time like a fraction of a second. You could use a 2 amp breaker or a 3 amp fuse. Fuses blow quicker than breakers trip. The rule of thumb is to protect the wire, not the load. So a 3 amp breaker or 3 amp fuse will work too.
