went to our local imc meeting tonight and was notified that the 'beta' version is up and running. seems to be very few features available at this time.

I am running it Ed. It is slow even on fastest Mac and doesn't match performance of the app.

They've had a desktop app before, going all the way back to 2007:

Not sure if it will ever see the light of day or if it'd be worthwhile. As tablets start to wane in popularity I suppose they need to figure something out just in case it becomes a problem.

Turbo, I was planning to go to that IMC meeting, but i totally forgot, again...

I had the desktop app in 2007 and it was pretty cool for those times.

The web version is great, but Vlad is right, it's painfully slow. It's nice to plan the flight on desktop and then load it up to the Efis via wifi straight from ForeFlight on the phone. It works with AFS and I think Dynon too.
