Default WD-617 Canopy Latch Rubbing

I am fitting the WD-617 canopy latch and the C-611 bushing blocks but the WD-617 latch rubs the F-766A flap actuator channel. I'm not sure if I bent the F-767 attach plate wrong or if the bushing blocks are not thick enough to position the canopy latch away from the channel. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to fix.

Thanks in advance,

I had a similar problem. The tube was rubbing on the rivets from memory. I removed the specified rivet and put flush rivets in. May be you could shim the blocks forward a bit.

Thanks, I was thinking this might be a fix.

Talked to Van's and they said this happened some and to put some UHMW tape on the tube. The tube was too close for tape to help so I installed flush rivets and 1/8" spacers behind the nylon bearing blocks. No rubbing now! Canopy latch assembly finished and working.
