Remote oil filer or engine mount?

I have an IO 360 A1A out of a Mooney that has a remote oil adapter on the accessory case, (don't have the filter part) would you mount the filter on the firewall or get the angle filter adapter for the engine? if the later, what adapter would work on the 7a?
