Default N Number reservation time frame
Hello everybody. On March 20th I sent in my application for reserving my N number. I picked 5 numbers, sent $50. Does anyone know how long the FAA will drag their feet before they send the letter letting me know which (if any) number I have? Do they reimburse the other $40? They sent me a nice letter with two different tracking numbers and such but I can't find anywhere that these numbers can be entered to get information.

I did mine online. It still took 2 to 3 weeks I think to get the official response.

It's likely that they will show up in the FAA online registry before you get the snail mail notification.

I reserved mine 1.5 years ago and it took 2 weeks.

you know that by sending them 50 dollars you will reserve all five if they are available? you only need to send them 10 and they will reserve the highest on the list that is available.
