The VFR arrival NOTAM specifically says "Do not transmit unless requested by ATC or if you have an emergency."

Please do your very best to comply with the NOTAM. Things will be easier for everyone.

I was referring on using Flight Following to Lakeland, of course follow the Arrival procedures posted

I flew there yesterday on an IFR Flight plan. They were throwing any VFR flight following request or service out quoting "Saturation".

My IFR was cancelled 15 miles out and I flew the Lake Parker arrival. I must have hit the perfect time as there was not another plane in the arrival and the controller at the power plant was asking where I was from and we had a nice little conversation!!
