Default Low Cost Shipping to Germany

A fellow builder in Germany needs to ship one box from US to Germany. Could be slow, ocean freight. Anyone with experience in this? As of now, the shipping cost is triple the part cost. 37x24x20" weighing 17 lbs. Thanks.

WE use USPS Priority, but its not the fastest. Less expensive than UPS, Fed Ex, of DHL for sure.
Problem is the import tarriff.

It's too big for USPS, otherwise that would be your best option.

Maybe someone traveling there could take it as checked luggage, then ship locally? Maybe the builder can pick up the part at FRA?

What part of Germany is it going?

I am in NY area and you would need to get the part to me, but will be flying to EDDB during the 1st week in Aug. I would be willing to haul it if it is not HAZMAT. He would need to meet me at the EDDB airport or my hotel.
