Default What's the red tape I see in pics in engine compartment?

It looks like it's used in anti chaff applications.

Ive seen it in builder pics but don't know what it is.

Self fusing silicone tape, available at the autoparts store. Used to prevent the engine mount from chafing under zip ties.

anyone taken a lighter to some to see how it burns/lights up?

I have not tested it, but the product literature refers to it as nonflammable and it is rated for use up to 500 F. Which, of course, is one reason it is widely used in the aerospace industry.
