Default HELP: How to make a P-lead

I have the Bendix mags on IO-540. Left one with the retard breaker for shower of sparks. I need a total of 3 P-leads. They are all the ROUND NUT type.

http://bearhawkblue.com/wp-content/u...1/P1000560.jpg

I have all the pieces to make up the P-leads (ie round nut, ferrule, isolator sleeve and tip washer and the shielded electrical wire). There are two for the mags and one with different length isolator for the retard breaker.

Can someone please walk me through the process of making up the P-leads, especially the magneto end.

Thanks.
Johan

I've seen the p-leads that use the shielding on GA aircraft but the shielded wire I see today doesn't seem like it would withstand the same task.

You can use solder splices to achieve this and it will be more robust, similar to how it is typically done for the intercom and radios.
