Unhappy wing skins drilling

Purchased a 6 from a previous builder and on close inspection found a row of mis-drilled holes filled with rivets next to anhttp://tinypic.com/useralbum.php?ua=...OcnIh4l5k2TGxc installed rib.
Any opinions appreciated, hopefully only cosmetic disturbance.
Thanks
GC

Cosmetic, keep going. I did the same thing with my Tuckey-tank mod due to increasing the rib count in the tanks for better support, had to close up the old holes in the prepunched wing skin with rivets and proseal.

All OK as long as edge distances are met.

5/8 flange - mid point is 5/16 from edge.

3/23 rivet needs a 3/16 edge distance

This gives a +/- tolerance of 1/8 from that centerline. Your pic seems to be well within those limits.

I think this is a quite common occurrence with the drill it yourself RV-6's
