Default Marvel part number

I have been trying to run my engine for 2 monthes, and I suddenly noticed that my Marvel carburator part number was not the good one...
For my RV8 I got a O-320 D2A lycoming .
When consulting Marvel web site I notice part number for my engine was 10-3678-32, but my carburator, sold with the engine is 10-5217 .
Could it explain my problems to run the engine above 1500tr?
Thanks
