Default Sticky Tape

In the production environment, faced with common installation situations of awkward or severely restricted accessability reaching bolt threads to install required washers and nuts, we regularly used an approved type of tape with a special adhesive on it that easily came away from the paper and transferred to the surface of a washer (or nutplate) so that the washer would stick to the nut. The hardware could then be installed as a unit on the fastener threads, greatly easing installation difficulty.

When the supply of tape ran out, some people would use super glue to bond the washer onto the nut though doing so can take much longer, be messier to deal with and bonding times unpredictable or non-existent if the hardware is not perfectly oil and/or dirt free.

Question. Does anybody out there know where I can purchase the special aviation approved type of sticky tape I am talking about? I think it was made by 3M.
