WX-500 stormscope antenna

Hi all.

I was happy to find a relatively cheap but working WX-500 stormscope processor. I'm now getting all the parts (antenna, mounting rack, etc.) for it, and someone suggested that the NY-163 (P/N 805-10930-001) can be replaced by the WX-900 equivalent antenna (which is significantly cheaper, too), saying those are the exact same. I'm a bit skeptic about that - would anyone have more information on it, either confirming or denying that claim?
