Question Radio static?

I have a panel full of STUFF.
The GNS430 com always seems to work great. My SL30 has static on some freq. Other freq are ok. Like 122.9 has static, 122.7 does not. The static also only seems to happen when I turn on my BMA EFIS units.

The SL30 and GNS430 have seperate comm antennuas.

My headset jacks use isolating washers. I have used shielded cable throughout the plane and ground at a common block at the firewall side of the battery.

Where should I start looking for the problem? The BMA EFIS wiring? The SL30 wiring, the antennua?

Kent

Default Try the AeroElectric list...

I suggest you post this question to the AeroElectric list. Maybe even do a search first to see what might already be there.

I think you answered your question.

Check out the BMA forum; you will find that your problem is not isolated.

Hope you are able to find a quick and easy solution.

Default adjust RF?

Did you already go into the SL 30 menu and see if you can adjust it?

Been over a year-- hold buttons down for menu-- RF 60? IIRC

FWIW
