Correct
Aerhead is correct. I just did the same on my RV-10. I did stay over top of the field for 3 hours, though.
Only modifications that affect the flight characteristics of the airplane require reentry into Phase I, such as a different propeller (fixed pitch to c/s), winglets, addition of floats, etc.
