Default Static vent plugs

Does anyone have suggestions for available static vent covers for an RV10? Our aeroplane lives outside as hangarage is so difficult to obtain in South East England and we have just cleared a lot of water from our static system.

Seems like there was a tip in Sport Aviation about cutting a 6 inch or so length of weed trimmer line to act as a plug vs, a cover. They come in all sorts of colors.

How about this.....?

Bit of a prototype at the moment. Used discarded pop-rivet shanks and heavy duty elastic bands. Will be improved when I find some 1/8" or similar elastic cord.

Glue a neodymium magnet inside, above the port. Create/build a small cover with a "remove before flight" flag and another magnet in it. If you forget to remove the cover, it will likely be thrown from the plane on startup. No straps, nothing sticking into the port, etc. My 2 cents.
