Default Transmitting problem

I have a SL40 com in my 12, which worked well for the first 30 hours. After that it developed a "buzz" when transmitting, then the co-pilot-side slowly became weak when talking, then transmitting quit altogether, but could still hear pilot. Transmission was still normal. I removed Flight Comm and sent it to the manufacturer, but they said all is OK. I re-installed, and now it can only receive! No side tone at all, both pilot and co-pilot. I've checked Ground x 5. SL40 indicates I'm transmitting, but nothing is going out.
Where can I go from here as two radio shops have not been able/willing to help.

I had the exact series of problems but I have the Garmin radio. Turned out to be a pushed pin on the connector to the head phone jacks.

Like Pat said. sometimes jacks can not make contact and sometimes grounds come undone.

Pins generally if installed correctly will not work out if they had been working properly. But if you have the radio in and out you increase the case of a bent pin .

I have the same problem but only when Nav lights are on. I figure it's a grounding issue ?
