Default Transponder mounting

Where can I find a mounting tray to mount my Garmin GTX23ES transponder aft of the baggage compartment?

Haven't seen any commercial products available. I mounted mine on the "hat rack" shelf of my RV-4.

You will most likely have to fabricate your own. Maybe give Stein at Stein Air a call to confirm?

We try to keep the "horizontal mount" trays for the GTX's in stock...give me a shout and we'll get you taken care of!

Cheers,
Stein

I used the standard GTX 23 tray but mounted it vertically on the AHRS shelf that Van's sells for the -10. That places the unit to left of and behind the battery. The antenna is immediately behind the baggage bulkhead on the tailcone bottom, right of center-line. Works just fine (passed both the Avionics shop cert and FAA ADS-D inflight check).
