Canopy vs. UV Rays?

Does anyone have any knowledge or informative experience regarding the UV (A and B) rays - whether the canopy is filtering them and to what degree? My wife is ultra-sensitive to them and we are still trying to get her comfortable in the RV so she will travel with me. It's already obvious that infra-red gets through just fine!

We had a UV meter at work & I held it under a piece of plexi & found a 93% reduction in UV from sunlight. Unfortunately, I had no data on what part or how much of the UV spectrum the meter measured. FWIW, it did register UV from flourescent lights.

I have seen clothes that block almost all the UV (I think from mountaineering places), use sunscreen for remaining exposed areas.
