This may be a solution without a real problem, but I'm waiting for the next kit and had an idea for accurately getting the jam nuts torqued.

I started with a 9/16 in combination wrench from Harbor Freight of course, heated up the box end and bent it over to about 110 degrees. Then I heated up the open end and straightened it so the jaws are aligned with the handle.
Then I welded on an extra 1/4 in socket I didn't need, roughly lining up the center of the driving socket with the box end of the wrench.

I cut open the box end so it will slide over the shank of the rod end bearing. I also ground down the perimeter of the box end a bit so it would fit on the jam nut without interference from the neighboring rivets.

Now I can easily adjust the torque on the jam nuts without any higher math - adding any leverage distance from using a standard crow foot wrench. The box end also is a lot more user friendly than a crow foot that you would do a lot of fiddling with getting the correct angle and repositioning to stay on the nut.
