nutplates for F-704K

Has anyone used nutplates to install the F-704K caps instead of the pop-rivets called for? I would like to run wires under and possibly install interior lights in the F-704Ks and would prefer them to be removable for inspection, etc. How many nutplates did you use? What size? How did you attach the armrests? Any other issues?
