Default Interesting spar plug gapping on fine wire

Yes, I posted for info before I started conditional insp about spark plug gap on fine wirer on IO 360 M1B 180hp. After removing plugs (not installed by me) the fine wire plugs that had a gap just short of .025 were whitish/tan and the plugs that were closer to 0.16 had carbon flakes around rim of plug but not on electrode. Contacted spark plug company and Gap is .017 to .021.. Yea,???
