Default Rear window sealant

Anyone use a Sikaflex product, like Sikaflex 295 UV to seal their rear windows? or any other Sikaflex?

My interpretation of the instructions is that you are sealing the window to keep fuel off the edge of the plexi and thus the use of fuel sealant.

I fail to see the benefit as the screw holes still allow fuel to contact the inner lexan/plexi material.

The instructions cover both the edges and screws - page 25-6. The screws are to be spun in sealant also.
