Default Dimple without expanding hole?

I here of people who dimple the pre drilled holes without expanding the slightly undersized hole as the dimple dye expands the hole anyway. Obvoiulsy, would not use this everywhere but if structure-worthy could save alot of time if deburred well.
Any thoughts?

Lots of potential for cracks later on... How much time are you really going to save?

Default Cracks for sure

Use a 10x or greater magnifyer and I believe you will find that you will get cracks if you don't make the hole big enough. No maybe about it.

Default Cracks for sure, agreed

In fact, the hole is not pre-drilled, it is pre-punched. Drilling is necessary to remove the work-hardened and torn edges crerated by the action of the punch as it rips the center out of the hole.
