Default Seat belt attach question
If I want to install crotch straps, where do they attach to the plane? I cannot find anything on this on the plans.

Charles,

Van's sells a kit for the crotch strap mounting. I don't have the part number handy, but I'm sure if you call them they will have the information. Comes with a install sheet that gives location.

If you have the electronic plans set, look at OP-24; this give the mounting details for the crotch strap kit. They are provided as an after-market kit, with pop rivets to install them on the ribs below the seat. If you don't have them, PM you email and I'll send you a copy.

The crotch strap brackets go between the floor ribs just behind the stick. If you haven't yet assembled your center fuselage, you can install the brackets with driven rivets. The crotch strap kit assumes a finished airplane and comes with pulled rivets.
