Default TCW IBBS-12v-6ah Backup Battery Dissection

While mounting the IBBS, I removed the bottom/mounting plate to more easily match drill to my subpanel. So I decided to take a peek inside.

The battery is pretty big. I'm guessing it'll drive equipment for quite a while. It's significantly heavier than my 12ah EarthX LiFePo battery: 2.1lbs vs 1.3lbs

The original plan was to use the EarthX along with a circuit of diodes and a resister for charging and isolation, but I decided to go turn-key.

The battery. Nice unit.

Bottom removed. Mostly battery

8 pretty hefty cells in 2 banks of 4

Pretty complicated circuitry
