I run the aircraft structures program at a technical college in Georgia. Some of our dual enrollment high school students just finished their toolboxes. They are very proud of their work and some have decided to continue with the program upon graduation from HS.
To make it more challenging, we bought the kits from Vans but reverse engineered the parts. Using .032 from our shop, we bent all the parts but did not layout any holes. The students had to do all the hole pattern layout and drilling for each part. Latches were bought at Lowes and piano hinge from ACS.
