Default RV-9A on X-Plane

Have not seen anything recent that suggests a good sim for an RV-9A on X-plane.

I had read that that the Tiger (AA-5B) can be a decent facsimile in real training when an RV is not available. There does happen to be an AA-5B for X-Plane available.

Thus 3 questions.

1. Is the Tiger a decent trainer for RV-9A flight characteristics?
2. Has anyone tried the AA-5B sim aircraft and found it to be useful.
3. Can anyone suggest a joystick that is good for stick training. I have a yolk that I used for Archer training but I'd like to get a feel for the stick.

Thanks for your insight.

Default Use another RV

When I was in your situation, I found a very nice RV7A for Microsoft Flight Simulator and made some minor adjustments to the horsepower. Worked very well. X-Plane should be even better.

Forget the Tiger. I had a Grumman AA1B hot rod with an O320. Landed faster and flew slower than a 9A but the ground handling was similar.

Don't spend too much time flying the computer - build!
