Thumbs up ElectroAir Upgrade

Just thought I would give a quick report on a recent upgrade I did from ElectroAir. I have had one of the Jeff Rose ignition systems on my RV9A for the last 500 hours. Overall it works great and has not given me much trouble. The only area of concern was the plug end termination when using aviation spark plugs. My 4 year old system had a setup of a special rubber washer and a brass nut that tryed to hold the wire into the plug.

Well, at 500 hours I ordered up a new set of plug wires (found out that they recomend replacing them every 1 - 2 years) The wires were the same spiral core wires that I already was using. But the piece-de-restance was the new plug termination hardware! Let's just say now the wires will be as secure as your normal mag harness hardware.

I put everything together with some new plugs and it purrs like a kitten.

Good stuff. Get the upgrade if you have an ElectroAir system!
