Default Paint wear

Whenever I take my cowl off for oil change I am made aware of the paint that is basic burned off where the exhaust pipes exit. It is not noticeable unless you are laying under the plane and specifically looking at that area. Has anyone made any provisions to protect that edge of the fiberglass cowl? Maybe a metal plate?

Vans sells an adhesive metalic shield that can be stuck to the inside of the bottom cowl. This might work for you.

Or if you're in a hurry, aluminum foil & RTV. If foil seems to flimsy, disposable oven pans....
