Default Magnetometer placement

Any problems with placing magnetometers in close proximity to each other?
Thanks.
Johan

Hello Johan,

The general guidance we provide customers wanting to install dual GMU 22 magnetometers side-by-side for their G3X system is to mount the GMU 22 units no closer that 6 inches center to center and they should work well.

Thanks,
Steve

For other EFIS brands, the answer is different. GRT magnetometers can be stuck to each other with Velcro if you want, or so goes the guidance previously provided on this site by GRT reps.

Mine have been put on top of each other though not with velcro. They just need to be facing up as I had them first back to back (one was upside down) which I had to reverse it.
