Where, exactly, does the oil pressure fitting go? In the circular recess to the right of the magneto pinch clamp? Engine is an IO-320 D1A.

It's the one right next to the magneto clamp. The one in the recess will work but is unfortunately covered up by the engine rubber mount. A straight or 45 will work.
Thanks! I've got the Van's supplied 45-degree fitting, so I'll go with that.

If you pull both of those plugs out and stick a paper-clip in the hole you will find that both go into the same oil gally. With most of the early engine cases you would only get the one port, but with these newer castings the "O.E.M.'s" have started giving us two so we can plumb it as needed. So it is really what you like best to fit your needs in this case. Hope this helps. Yours as always. R.E.A. III #80888
