Default New Mexico - Albuquerque area

RV flyers in the New Mexico area do you have any advise or information on flying in the ABQ area? RV friendly airports? I am planning a trip in that area in the late April early May time frame. Thanks for the help.

Cutter FBO is friendly and helpful at ABQ. If you find ballooning interesting, there is a good museum on the launch field at north end of town.
Double Eagle is close, but not the main airport. Santa Fe is an interesting side trip as well. Have fun !!

Santa Fe is good...

Las Cruces and visit the old town of Mesilla - you will need a car there.

Add in Rudioso, where all of the Texans go for the nearest mountains. A road trip to Lincoln from there is also worthwhile..

Double eagle II is an easy spot to stop over. Bunch of RV's based there, good food upstairs (Stop in and say hi to Curtis). Cars are available and they usually have room in the big hangars if you want to put the plane inside. Fuel is not cheap, but better than at Sunport. Cheap fuel down at E90 Los Lunas but no good places there to park the plane.
Hit me up if you need any more info.

Default Carlsbad

Also, if you stop at Deming on the way from Texas... the caverns are worth a stop over.
