Hi Peter,
The guy's name is Jim Benson and I did speak with him about two months (maybe longer) ago. At that time, the NACA inlet duct was causing power losses at high power settings and newer scoops on the sides of the airplane were being fitted to accomodate the high airflow needs of the engine.
He's a little aloof whenever I try and probe for more but I had hoped that he'd post something new here. So far hasn't. I'll try again,
