PIREP -Airflow Performance Visit
I had the privilege of spending the day earlier this month with Don Rivera at Airflow Performance's facility at KSPA getting the nozzles tuned on my new FM-150 injection system. We recently converted our O-360A1A to fuel injection. Don's depth of knowledge on the subject is amazing. His deftness in working on the engine made me want to take a hammer to my hands. Talk about concentrated learning!
Perhaps the best part was the in-depth tour Kyle gave me of their facility, which is one of the coolest candy stores I have been in for a while. Nothing gives you confidence like meeting the people and viewing the nooks and crannies of the facility behind the systems you fly. Nozzle tuning can be done over the phone, but if you install one of their systems, you are missing out if you don't have the nozzles tuned in person. I cannot recommend Don, Kyle, and Colleen of Airflow Performance (and their products) highly enough.
