Question Alternate Static - Remote Switch/Valve

I am contemplating installing an alternate static source to my Dynon system. I would rather not have to run tubing up to the panel. At this point the entire static system in locate in the rear of the fuselage. My thought is to use a remote solenoid activated valve that would be controlled by a switch at the panel. Easier to run wire than tubing.

I am interested in hearing from anyone who has employed such a solution.

John
