Default Lower 48 Tiedown Fees/Availability

I live in Anchorage.

I am thinking seriously about bringing my RV-7 down to the Lower 48 for the winter. That way I can fly it where it's warmer.

I would like to base it somewhere close to an airport that is serviced by Alaska Airlines so I can visit it now and then and fly to, well, anywhere in the Contiguous USA.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Default Front Range

Bob,

Seattle is obviously closer. However, Alaska does fly to Denver. Front Range airport is about 15 minutes away from DIA, and I think they will come get you. They have very accommodating folks there.

They do not have ramp fees, and they have fairly inexpensive hangars. It does get cold however during the winter.

Just a thought.

cheers

Geoff

Alaska Air flies to Orlando Florida and there are many airports close by that you can base out of. Even though it is a LONG trip in an RV-7, once here there are so many other places you can fly and enjoy.
