Default Panel mounted PTT

I did not want to hijack the thread below so I started this one.
I just wired in my intercom and it had provisions for a panel PTT.
What would you use one of these for? Is it to be used if you do not have one on the stick or a back up for it?

I did not put a PTT on the passenger stick since I frequently remove the stick. I mounted the Pax PTT on the panel right in front of the pax.

Thumbs up For Co-pilot (instructors)

I mounted one on my switch sub panel in front of the copilot. That if they need to make radio calls then they don't have to touch the stick.

I mounted one in my -6 right above the throttle so that I could activate it with my index finger. For me it was primarily for formation.

I used with one with some decent tactile feedback, and that worked well.

Put it somewhere where you don't have to move your hands from whereever they will be during the most critical phase of flight, such as on an IFR approach.
