Default Pushbutton map lights?

I'd like to put map lights, similar to the eyeball-style lights that Stein sells, on the side bulkhead cover plates, but I'd rather not install two more switches as well. Does anybody know of any map lights that have a switch built in, similar to vehicle dome lights?

Chris

Feed it from a dimmer on the panel that is connected to your nav light switch.

Default Pushbutton Map lights

Hi Chris,

I've done exactly as you're describing with Aveo Eye Beam Mini from Spruce. $179 each, so not cheap but they do function well, albeit, tested sitting in my garage with the lights out while making engine noises.

One caveat is that they are secured with a low profile nylon nut at the rear, so you'd have to remove your bulkhead covers to install and secure them and then be forced to drill out pop rivets if they need repair etc. You may be able to devise another method, however.
