does the p-mag tack signal work
with the g3x touch

Good morning Byron,

Yes, the P-Mag tach output can be used just fine to display RPM on the G3X system, and we have many flying examples of RV's with just that configuration. You will want to connect it as shown in Figure 24-4 of the G3X installation manual, and configure it as shown in section 27.4.17.3.2.
