Tip-Up Safety
My DAR asked me to label my Tip-Up release and lever on the side of the airplane: "rescue" and instructions. I did it. Then it ocurred to me that if the top safety catch is engaged, that's all useless. The scenario he had it mind was if I passed out inside, not if the canopy were broken in a crash. I think it might be easy to extend the steel tube straight up through the plexi and install an externa latch like the ones on the sliders. Has anyone already done this and if so, will you share information and pictures? Thanks.
