Default Heat range

Looking at spark-plugs , any correlation between compression ratio and heat range ? I have 10:1 pistons , engine was shipped with 32E plugs , but the wrong barrel thread (3/4, I have 5/8 harness) .
Looking at the Champion chart it appears the colder plugs are used on the higher compression engines ( HIO-360 8:7 uses 32E)

32's or 29's and the pick of them is the Tempest fine wire, I think they are only in 32's.
