Default Aircraft scale suggestion?
Hi
I am looking to buy a scale kit or 3 separate scale for weight and balance. There is none available near me and since i want to use it to re-weight my rv-10 and will use it for the rv-7, i figure that i could buy it.

Anybody have suggestion for a kit or 3 scales not to expansive but ok to weight the aircraft.

Avery will rent you the scales. I have been considering this. Oh, I talked to a nice guy that makes scales at OSH this year. You might be able to use one scale and just move it to the different wheels.

The 2000lb pad scales from scales4planes.com are nice, well built, and accurate. Our EAA chapter bought a set of three and was just using them yesterday.

If you do not want to buy, check with a local race car prep shop. Any decent shop will have a good set of electronic scales. Now if they'll let you use them.....
