Default Type A Tank Sealant

This stuff has lower viscosity than the type B stuff we normally use. I bought some to use for dotting my rivet heads and used it this afternoon for the first time.

The viscosity is about like honey. It's easy to mix and the sealant and hardener are the same colors as the type B stuff. Mixed, it doesn't seem to be thixotropic, it just flows.

I put it into a 30 ml plastic hobby syringe. I cut the tip to be about 3/32" to 1/8" diameter inside, and that was too big. Putting the sealant into the syringe was messy, since I was using 10 to 20 gram batches. I had to kind of spoon it in with popsicle sticks.

Same two hour pot life.

The spec is: CS3204 A2 - AMS-S-8802C Ty.II.

For me, this is considerably messier than the type B sealant. But it makes really nice dots on the rivet heads, and I used a toothpick to ensure that the sealant was in the right place.
