Default Degausing coil near Aurora?

Does anyone know where I might find a degausing coil near Aurora?

Check the old TV repair shops one of them might still have one around.

Are you wanting to demagnetize something? I have a demagnetizer here in Scio but you should check with local machine shops up there.

Yes, the center windshield post that I am going to be mounting the compass on. Right now it swings the compass like crazy if I bring it anywhere near.

An old style Weller 100/140w soldering gun makes a pretty good degaussing "ring" too! My dad was a TV repairman and used one to degauss many 25" color TV CRTs back in the day

I have one of those in the hanger, third drawer down in the rolling tool box.
