GNS 430 Does not read data card
I recently put a current data card in my non-WAAS Garmin 430 and it will not read the card. Put the old card back in and it won't read that either? Any ideas out there?

You likely did this, but perhaps blow some air (from the little cans) in there? If you are lucky, it is just a piece of debris. I've had to re-seat cards more than a few times. Also re-seat the terrain card if so equipped. I had that cause a mis-read on the aviation data card during boot up for some reason. Good luck!

Just had same issue with most recent update
Would not read the card, but would read the old card ---- maybe the latest update was a problem? A new update is coming up, so, we will see. I will try to update the same card.

good news, i have had one card die on me over all the years. i always carry a spare on long trips with prior months data. its good to pick one up when they come by cheap.
